The Whiting/Robertsdale Historical Society will not be meeting for the remainder of 2020. The Mascot Hall of Fame is still closed until further notice. If the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic should improve by the end of the year we hope to begin meeting again sometime in 2021. If you would like to pay your dues for 2021, you can mail your $10.00 check to the W/RHS at 1610 119th Street Whiting IN 46394. You can also use Pay Pal to pay your dues. The Whiting Public Library has started a new program. Librarian and Local Historian, Tony Borgo, takes visitors on virtual tour of Whiting’s downtown district. Each episode will feature a different address along the city’s historic downtown. He provides a background on the people and businesses that make Whiting so unique. The next program will be on Friday, August 28th at 12 p.m. and then monthly on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month.
